Well, as you might have heard.. Gamer Tonight is returning to Good Game on ABC. So I've been working tirelessly to get the first episode done.
Just thought I'd share the redesign on Richard here. As you can see he's a lot less broad, which I originally didn't intended him to be. He has over 350 symbols in his library and he's currently only a upper-torso. In terms of what I've been doing with this form of limited symbol animation, I can safely say it's leagues above what Gamer Tonight previously was. A horribly rushed cartoon under heavy time constraints.
Of course, these time constraints are still there, I've just set out everything so it'll be much more "animator-friendly". One thing you should know about this new Gamer Tonight, is it very rarely uses motion tweens for the character animation. It's very much done with a lot of symbol swapping with an abundance of character symbols.
Also, I've gone to great lengths to make sure that these newer ones won't be a dead horse. And will be as entertaining and comedic as possible. I personally believe the writing has come a far way now since the first 2 episodes, as I understand what I'm trying to achieve here.
I'm not supposed to be poking fun at the large game franchises, I need to focus on the gamers themselves. Though there have been 2 or so episodes that blur this line between "Game Character" and "Gamer", it'll all be explained once GTL is under way.
Expect the first cartoon to appear on gamertonight.net this coming Feb! As for the genre's being covered... I'm not going to say anything.
lmao he looks so stoned. Nice work, why don't you fully FBF each episode that would be by far cooler and you'd have like 3 hours spare time (to sleep) each week.
Now it's time for August 2008 Visual Art Features, many new art to discover!
Don't forget that many artists need to be viewed, they deserve it! Fave Fave Fave! My main purpose in doing a monthly feature about (to my point of view) 'the best visual art' is to put in the same level as well wellknown artists and popular creations as unknown artists and under-exposed creations. Artists need to be supported. So don't be shy!
Here's the Menu per Category :
