What do you prefer? Co-op Shmups or Co-op Beatemups?
Shmup games are generally those 2D plane games where there are a billion bullets flying around and you're trying to dodge them whilst spamming fire whilst collecting weapon upgrades. Examples include such games as Geometry Wars or Space Invaders.
Beatemups are games where you punch shit with your FISTS. Some examples of this would include River City Ransom, Double Dragon, Castle Crashers and the recent Scott Pilgrim game.
